The mouthpiece does not fit in my mouth correctly what should I do?
The gel will flow over all your teeth, so the mouthpiece does not have to fit perfectly. Be certain to keep the light in your mouth for 2 minutes and complete the swishing process.

The gel that comes out of the tube is so small or not enough. Why?
This is the correct amount of gel. As you use the product, the gel will expand in your mouth.

How long does the whitening effect last?
That depends on what is causing your teeth to stain. If you continue to stain your teeth with wine, cigarettes, coffee, or soda, your teeth will re-stain! However, if you use the Stay White spray and do simple monthly applications of the Ionic White gels, you can keep your teeth white as long as you like!

How long before I see results?
Immediately after the 21 minute application. You will notice your teeth will continue to whiten several days after the first application. Remember to use the Stay White spray to maintain your new white teeth and to further the whitening process.

How many shades will my teeth get whiter?
Results will vary. Ionic White is 100% effective, however the level of effectiveness depends upon how badly stained your teeth are, what caused the staining, and how long the stains have been there.  You will see a dramatic difference after the very first application.

How long do I have to keep the light in my mouth?
The first time you use Ionic White, you will do three different applications that take just two minutes at a time. 6 total minutes in the 21 minute period.  For daily/weekly maintenance with the Stay White Spray, you will only need to do one two minute application. There is no danger leaving the light on as long as you like. If your teeth are badly stained you may wish to increase exposure time or use the gels more often.

What is Ionic about Ionic white?
The gel contains silver ions which activate when exposed to the harmless blue led light. The silver ions cause the active bleaching ingredients to work faster and penetrate deeper into the tooth.

Does it hurt?
Not at all. There is no pain associated with using Ionic White whatsoever and it doesn’t cause your gums to become sensitive like many other teeth whitening systems.

How does it taste?
Ionic White has a tasty mint flavoring.

Will this work on dentures, caps, or veneers?
Unfortunately no. Your dentist created those to match the stain level your natural teeth were at the time you had the procedure done. They can’t be whitened.

Why do I need the back and the front of my teeth white?
Your teeth are see-through! If you only whiten the front of your teeth, the stains from the back will show through.

Why do I need both gels?
The first gel is the bleaching ingredient and the second gel is the ionic activator. They begin to work when they are exposed to each other.

What does the Stay White spray do?
The spray contains the same active ingredients as the gels do, but in a slightly less concentrated form. It is designed to maintain your white teeth, but you should still use the gels every month for optimal results!

Is the light harmful in any way?
Its just a light. It is set at a frequency that activates the silver ions but it is as harmless as any light in your home.

Why are there six gel packs in the kit?
Each application takes two gel packs. The bleaching ingredient and the ionic activator. You will do three applications using up two gel packs per application for a total of 6.

Can I share the unit with other people in my household?
The unit can be easily cleaned, but it is recommended by Ionic White to have each person in the home have their own unit for use.
